Over the years I have devoted many thousands of hours to reading, reviewing and research as the Technology and Trends Editor of American Printer magazine, the Technology Editor of Graphic Arts Monthly,  and as the Editor of Technology Watch newsletter now for over 35 years. Publishing, at its beginning, was simply the distribution of printed pages and books. Today, information is published digitally on the modern extension of the printing press, the internet. Websites such as this one post information, magazines and books for immediate distribution worldwide. However, one of the many benefits of print publishing is that it physically fixes the content to the printed page, where the ideas can be read and reviewed a long time later. Because decades have passed since I wrote and published some of these pieces, this Publishing section affords me the opportunity to demonstrate my predictive skills.
